Helping Tonya Move Forward

I am hoping to raise funds so that my mom, Tonya can move forward after my father bacame ill and passed away.  My sweet dad, Gene had digestive issues for a little over a year but didn't have insurance, so he simply hoped it would clear up on its own.  He was a piano tuner and technician and he continued to take on new jobs until his discomfort became more unbearable.   He then went to  a doctor to get his gallbladder checked and when they ran the scans, a large mass was dicovered on his colon.   Soon after that, in July of 2015, he ended up in the hospital where he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.  He and my mom then moved up to Maine where he could receive chemotherapy, but that only seemed to help for a short while and his health began to decline again.   

He came back to his hometown here in Austin, Texas early 2016 to be with family and passed away at home on February 2nd, 2016.   We were so blessed we were able to be together again,  even if only for a short time.  We were all so very close and it was devastating for us all to loose him, especially for my mom who had been with him every day for nearly 40 years!  She has had a huge hole in her life that his big, loving presence once filled.   And unfortunately, his positivity and drive to just keep going despite his health issues left her with piano debts for downpayments that he had taken for parts on jobs he was unable to finish.   It all happened so fast and the medical bills seemed to pile up even faster.  I want more than anything for her to be able to move forward into this next chapter of her life without all of this financial worry hanging over her head.  I want her to feel like she can travel and build a new life for herself!  She has no idea I am starting this fund for her, so anything you can donate to the cause will be so wonderful and so appreciated!
