Help Todd and Erika Franzen kick cancer’s Bootie
-Hello Todd Franzen Supporters-
As you all know our stepdad Todd Franzen was re-diagnosed last summer with Hodgkins Lymphoma after a 10 year remission. Since last summer he tried a targeted chemo which he turned out to be allergic to. He and my mom then spent 1.5 months in Denver doing radiation at the end of last year. After waiting all the way to May we found out that didn’t work. Recently he tried immunotherapy and unfortunately that didn’t work either. Right now Todd is in stage 4 and it has reached his bone marrow and organs. After meeting with the specialist it was decided he will start a hardcore chemotherapy next. The kind where it is really hard on the body. He will stay in the hospital for 4 days each treatment cycle. My mom will not be able to stay overnight there but will be at a hotel across the street. When he returns to Breckenridge, he will need to quarantine as he will be very high risk for Covid-19 during this chemo. We found him another place across town. Kalina has been gracious enough to volunteer to caretake and quarantine with him. We will get another scan mid October and hopefully that will show cancer reduction. Then we can go for the stem cell transplant where Chris (his brother) is a perfect match and will be donating his stem cells! Todd will stay in Denver at that point for 3 months. One of us will be across the street then too. Luckily Todd looks and feels great which makes it hard to believe he is sick! Our mom is amazing and is working so hard to keep it all together. We know 2020 has been hard on everyone, please help our mom and Todd if you can. We appreciate all the love and support!
