Kindly help to raise funds for liver transplant

Hi, we are fundraising for the need of Immediate liver transplant of Gurwinder Singh.

Gurwinder is 14 years old boy, hailing from Khanna, Punjab, India and is suffering from a deadly disease called "Wilson Disease".

 

What is "Wilson Disease"?

It is an inherited rare disorder/condition that causes the body to retain excess copper. The liver of a person who has Wilson Disease does not release copper into bile as it should. As the copper builds up in the liver, it begins to damage the organ.

After enough damage, the liver releases the copper directly into the bloodstream, which carries the copper throughout the body. The copper buildup leads to damage in the kidneys, brain, and eyes. If not treated, Wilson Disease can cause severe brain damage, liver failure, and death.

 

Gurwinder has been referred from DMC Hospital Ludhiana to ILBS Hospital Delhi today. Gurwinder's family is unable to financially bear the cost of their child's treatment and upfront costs. As per the doctors, the cost of the treatment is about 30 Lac Rupees/ $60,000 CAD.
