Help to quit Gaza to life

Hello ‏, I'm Mohammed Azzam. I live in Gaza, and I'm 18 years old. I finished my secondary school in 2023 and began studying at the College of Dentistry at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. My family and I had many dreams, but they were shattered due to tragic events.On October 10th, we were forced to leave our home suddenly, leaving behind everything we held dear. Each corner of our house held memories, both good and bad, happy and sad. Everything we cherished was destroyed, along with our dreams.We sought refuge in the middle of Gaza Strip, in Deir El Balah, enduring difficult and unsafe conditions.

I sustained a head injury while searching for bread for our family amidst the shelling and required stitches. Due to overcrowding and dire circumstances, we relocated to Al Nuseirt Camp for four days, but had to leave due to worsening conditions.Desperate for safety, we moved to Rafah, where we faced exhaustion and illness. My younger sister, who is only one and a half years old, fell severely ill with a high fever, cough, respiratory infection, and Amebiasis due to contaminated water and poor nutrition. Despite our efforts, we struggled to find the necessary medicine.In mid-January, she experienced febrile seizures, and we rushed her to the hospital at 1:30 p.m. The doctors worked tirelessly to save her life. However, due to the ongoing conflict and limited resources, our situation continued to deteriorate.

We have been displaced five times, seeking safety within Gaza Strip, but finding none. We appeal for assistance to relocate to a secure place where we can rebuild our lives in peace and where I can continue my studies at the College of Dentistry. Your support would mean the world to us.

‏My mother was diagnosed with a fragmentary form of poisoning, most likely due to toxic white phosphorus bombs and other harmful substances during the long period to which she was exposed.

‏There are absolutely no functional toxicology wards in Gaza at the moment as they have all been bombed or taken out of service due to military raids. Treatment in Gaza is no longer an option.

‏Her lungs are the most affected organs but they don't stop there because they have already reached the bloodstream with frequent infections.

‏Her medical condition is getting worse by the week, day and hour. In addition, her history of strokes and diabetes makes the hope of recovery impossible if she is not treated by a specialist in the field of toxicology outside Gaza.

‏We are currently doing our best to collect information about where she could go if we managed to reach our goal and at least evacuate her.
