Help to Install Community Defibrillator

Hi my name is Jane,

I am fundraising in memory of my mum Margaret who recently passed away.

My mum was resident at Lostock Lodge Care Home in Northwich. The home had begun to fund raise for a defibrillator which will be placed on the outside of their building for use by the local community should someone ever be in need.

On the day my mum passed away the staff went to get the nearest defib unit in an attempt to resuscitate her. This required a drive to the other end of the village going through two sets of traffic lights.

Although as we now know it would not have helped my mum, it really brought it home to the staff the amount of time it took to get the defib back to the home.

Lostock Lodge is situated in the middle of other supported accommodation, a new housing estate, next to a pub with children's play area and various shops.

If we could raise enough money to have a defibrillator unit installed on the outside of the building it could save precious moments in saving the life of one of my mum's fellow friends and residents, a member of the community or someone visiting the area.
