Waarvoor is deze crowdfunding?
Tirzah gaat Nederland vertegenwoordigen in Mexico tijdens een Internationale Miss verkiezing voor vrouwen in een rolstoel. Dit kan ze niet alleen. In Nederland is er geen organisatie die steun biedt. Er is een budget nodig voor de reis, kleding, promotie en voorbereidingen voor de deelname aan de Miss Wheelchair World verkiezing.

Waar kan ik informatie vinden over de Miss Wheelchair World verkiezing?
Wie is Tirzah?
Tirzah is een jonge vrouw met een lichamelijke beperking. Vijf jaar geleden heeft ze een dwarslaesie opgelopen waarbij ze haar rug brak op 3 plekken. Met als gevolg dat ze niet meer kan lopen. Ze is verlamd vanaf onder haar borst naar beneden. Dagelijks heeft Tirzah te maken met de ongemakken van de beperking maar dat houdt haar niet tegen. Ze leeft zelfstandig, werkt part-time en is daarnaast bezig met inclusie en representatie via social media. Haar verhaal wordt regelmatig opgemerkt door de media. Ze werkt onbetaald aan de groei van internationaal platform Open Book om mensen met diverse beperkingen een stem te geven. En is podcast host van De Dwarsliggers Podcast, een podcast voor en door mensen met een dwarslaesie. Ook zet ze zich in voor het verbeteren van hulpmiddelen en aangepaste kleding.

What is this crowdfunding for?
Tirzah will represent the Netherlands in Mexico during an International Miss pageant for women in a wheelchair. She can't do this alone. In the Netherlands there is no organization that offers support. A budget is needed for travel, clothing, promotion and preparations for participating in the Miss Wheelchair World pageant.

Who is Tirzah?
Tirzah is a young woman with a physical disability. Five years ago she suffered a spinal cord injury in which she broke her back in 3 places. As a result, she can no longer walk. She is paralyzed from below her chest down. Every day Tirzah has to deal with the inconveniences of the limitation, but that does not stop her. She lives independently, works part-time and is also very active contributing to inclusion and representation via social media. Her story is regularly noticed by the media. She does unpaid work on the growth of the international platform Open Book to give people with various disabilities a voice. And is podcast host of De Dwarsliggers Podcast, a Dutch podcast for, and by people with a spinal cord injury. She is also committed to improving mobility aids and adapted clothing.
