Help the Yawanawa fight the Amazon forest fires
Donation protected
Fires are raging in the Amazon rainforest. Tribal Link Foundation is in contact with Tashka Yawanawa, Chief of the Yawanawa People of Acre, Brazil, whose community is directly impacted by the fires; the community could not see the sky for a week because of the smoke.
Tashka was featured on CBS calling for support for the Amazon. You can watch his moving interview here:
Great news! Tashka had previously asked him to help with funding to mobilize about and monitor the fires. We successfully funded that campaign!
So we have now asked if he needs anything else to help in this dire situation. He replied that they really need to build an outpost so members of their community can monitor the fires and illegal intruders.
Chief Tashka and his people urgently need our support. If you feel so moved, please help make this happen.
For a room in an outpost (one room):
Materials $3,000
