Please take a minute to read this and, if so inclined, donate a small amount to help some personal friends of ours. My name is Eric Silver and I am in Haltom City, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth). This campaign was launched to help friends of ours in Houston.
I met Tim Weissman 9 years ago. We started our Fish Window Cleaning businesses at the same time and were in the same training class. Tim and his wife, Sheila, have become close friends. Although I only get to see them once or twice a year it we pick up right where we left off.
In many ways Tim and Sheila are very lucky. They were able to get out with their family and pets all safe. However, the immediate relief they found with the rescue was short-lived as they began to assess damage and rebuild their home. When they left water had entered the first floor of the home and the sewer had backed up into the house. Their house is not livable. Their vehicles were flooded. Lots of work needs to be done. Their business is somewhat crippled at best. Many of the places they would send their employees to for work are still underwater so their employees will feel the bite of this disaster as well.
While I'm confident they will be fine in the future they have some immediate needs in order to get things going again. They will need to buy food, personal items, hotel stays, gas, etc.
Tim and Sheila are beneficiaries of this campaign and have been given direct access to withdrawn funds.
I know there are tons of places to give money to people in need so don't feel like you need to donate here if you have already donated. However, if you are wanting to help it would be greatly appreciated.
