Hi Stockman's family!
A couple of months ago I opened this Go Fund Me for Rebekah and Scott and The Stockman's Club as a surprise and ran it for 2 weeks. It was a quick little boost to let them know that their friends and community care about them and Stockman's. They didn't know that I was doing this and I informed them that I would let them know if I a was going to reopen it. People have been reaching out and wanting to donate because they didn't get to the first-time. This time we will keep it opened for a while.
If anyone would like to donate to help Rebekah and Scotty and the Stockman's Club during these trying times, they could use your help.
As most of you know, Stockman's has been closed since March, with no current end in sight. Rebekah and Scott have had to keep the bills, rent, insurances, licenses, maintenance, and now (without any income) unexpected considerations on how to possibly even try to open because of the current laws pertaining to the pandemic.
I love Stockman's, it's my home. And I know it's a lot of yours, too. I would honestly be so bummed if they lost it (IDK if they are anywhere close, but I know they are stressed and for me to know that says a lot about their situation). This year has been crazy & f'd up for everyone and I know a lot of people have their on situations right now, so please, do not feel obligated. I will love you no matter what! But if you would like to help out, please, please, lets!
Stockman's has an old prohibition style license and they were grandfathered into it allowing them to keep it as solely a bar with no food prep. The current laws only allows restaurants with bars to serve if they serve food, and probably some other stipulations like outside seating, or only to-go with food. In order to get food they would have to make serious changes to the building, get permits, health dept clearance, etc., that they can't possibly afford right now because of being closed so long.
Like so many other industries and businesses getting screwed right now, we only can hope that people can survive this and it's over soon. Please, if you are so inclined, lets try to give a little help to friends that would help us, and support our favorite bar. I know it would show them how much we all care and they truly could use the support.
