Help the Sproston Family Heal

My name is Kayla Moore. I set up this GoFundMe to help out a very close friend who is fighting for her life right now and her husband Cody who has been by her side through it all. Out of respect for her and her husband’s privacy, I will only share some of what they are going through. 

Almost 2 months ago, Amanique went to the emergency room with stomach complications. She was pregnant with twins which her and her husband were so excited about. While in the E.R., the doctor found some abnormalities in Amanique’s intestines which required emergency surgery to be repaired. She was also diagnosed with lymphoma, caused by meds that she was taking. Unfortunately, the babies did not make it and Amanique and Cody were now faced with a long road of physical and emotional recovery ahead of them. While recovering in the hospital, Amanique suddenly became unresponsive and went into a coma, which the doctors believe was caused by an infection. Her family was called and told that she may not make it through the night and they were allowed to come and say their goodbyes. Being the fighter that she is, Amanique made it through that night and almost 2 weeks later, is still fighting for her life. She is slowly becoming more responsive and is able to breathe on her own now;however, the cancer has gotten worse and she may be moved to a hospital in Chicago for treatment soon.

This fundraiser is meant to relieve the financial burden that has been placed on Amanique and Cody. Most of us can’t imagine having little income for 2 months and an increasing amount of medical bills. Amanique and Cody’s priority should be healing, not worrying about how they are going to be able to pay the bills. Please find it in your heart to help these amazing people, so they can focus on what is most important right now. Thank you.
