We have moved the fundraising goal to $15,000 to help support this family with not only this funeral expense but to also help relieve them of any financial burden in the days to come.

Emily and Joseph’s oldest daughter, Sophia, was killed in a tragic car accident along with her best friend on September 10th. Sophia was a senior at Tunica Academy, was selected to their 2021 homecoming court, and is loved by many. The family is devastated and appreciates everyones thoughts, prayers, and contributions.

Joseph Powers died suddenly on June 30th, leaving behind his wife, Emily, and daughters Sophia (17) and Isabella (14). A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Joesph was a light to whomever he met. He will be greatly missed by all who love him.

All funds will go directly to Emily and her daughters to cover funeral costs, a headstone, and to help them with the financial strain of losing a loved one. Any amount is greatly appreciated by the family as they heal from their devastating loss.
