Help the O’Shea Family with IVF costs
Hi everyone!
As most of you know we have been dealing with infertility for 5 years and undergoing fertility treatments for over a year now. After many lab results, ultrasounds, surgeries, treatments, and tests we are finally and currently in the middle of our first round of IVF. Unfortunately, our insurance doesn’t cover anything for IVF so everything comes out of pocket and can be very expensive($8000+ per round) Today we went for our third follicle check appointment after 12 long days of stimulation only to find that my follicles aren’t quite ready for egg retrieval. We have had to extend the stimulation process again which is very costly. We are spending around $700-$800 every four days just for the medication in hopes that we will have a successful egg retrieval and IVF Round. We found out today that we will need to continue stimulation and we will no longer be able to have a fresh transfer and that we will need to do a frozen transfer, which will add a little bit more to the total cost. We are asking for donations so we can decrease the financial stress during this time.
The donations will be used for:
Medication
Egg retrieval surgery and anesthesia
Cryopreservation
Embryo Transfer
Medications for after Transfer
We are truly grateful for all of the continuous prayers, love and support.
Any donations that are made that we don’t use will be going to another military family going through IVF.
Thank you,
Patrick and Shiyan O’Shea
