Help the Morian Brothers Get to National Rodeos

Andrew is an 8th grade student at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School in Gardnerville. He qualified for Nationals last year, but it was canceled due to the pandemic. He continued to set high goals for himself and was determined at the beginning of the rodeo season to once again qualify for the 2021 Nationals Finals Rodeo. Andrew worked hard, practicing all year long, roping and wrestling steers in the mud, snow, and heat while maintaining A’s and B’s in school. He competed in the Junior High State Finals Rodeo in Winnemucca over this past Memorial Day weekend. Andrew and his roping partner, Eli, are the 2021 Nevada State Team Roping Champions. Andrew is also the 2021 Nevada State Champion Chute Dogger. This qualified him for the National Junior High School Rodeo Finals in Des Moines, Iowa this June.

Colby is a sophomore at Douglas High School in Minden. He is a resilient kid and is determined to do well in his favorite event, calf tying. He has had to work through losing two calf horses in the last two years at no fault of his own. Colby really had to work this year, missing nearly half of the season due to a broken wrist that he got while practicing. He had a long road ahead of him this spring being so far behind in points, but he battled back and competed over the Memorial Day Weekend at the High School State Finals. Colby went up against many tough competitors and ended up winning. He is the 2021 Nevada State Calf Tying Champion and will be competing in the National High School Rodeo Finals in Lincoln, Nebraska this July. We told him that if he made it to Nationals, we would find a way to get him there.
