Help the Mid North Coast Three (MNCT)
Our MNCT are Frank, Beetle Bug and Saffron
This fundraiser is help save the MNCT dog's lives.
It is a matter of emergency and time is not on our side.

Frank has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and needs ultrasounds, xrays and blood tests. Once they have been carried out he will most likely need surgery.

It is estimated that the cost will be at least $3000 if surgery is an option. Without surgery it will be around $1500. Frank is booked in for his tests on the 3rd August.

Beetle Bug Mast Cell Tumour has come back. He is requiring surgery to remove two lymph nodes on his jaw line/neck area. The vets believe it may have metastased further but these nodes need to come out as they are large and uncomfortable. We will know more after surgery and the hsitopathology results comes back. Beetle is getting compounded medications to help to slow the speed of the spread of this nasty cancer. Beetle's surgery date is the 4th August. His vet costs are estimated at $3000

Saffron has come into our care as she has been diagnosed with a liver shunt at 4 months of age. This spunky little girl is the most sweet, cheeky, stubborn girl who on good days is a hilarious ball of fluff running and playing.

The cost is to repair the shunt is out of reach of her previous owner and the owner felt Saffron deserved a chance of a healthy life and for it to be not cut short because of the high costs involved in this surgery. It has broken her heart to let her go.

Her previous owner covered her testing to the point of confirming liver shunt by bile acid test, ultrasound and general blood tests. The ultrasound also shows she has kidney stones.

Due to her young age of diagnosis and having shown signs of failure to grow, had some hepatic encephalitis episodes and requiring a modified diet. Her condition is serious and cannot be medically managed for long. Statistically medically managed dogs tend to have a very short life span of 2 months to 2 years.

We want her to have that forever. Please help this baby girl have the chance of a long life in good health. This surgery gives her the chance of that. We hope you see her life as precious as we do. It was suggested she be euthanised due to the surgical cost. We do not want to think that her life should be extinguished because of cost. We don't want her gone from this world as if she did not matter or was not worth saving. No matter the cost. In rescue, we rescue dogs and save lives. This little one is needing you and us.

We have been given two different estimates one being $5000, the other is $5000-$7500 and potentially more.

We are in talks with our vets and specialist in formulating a surgical plan.

We are investigating ways to get Saffron to Sydney from Port Macquarie ASAP with covid restrictions complicating the transport.

We will be sharing the bills up as they come in to help people feel confident that their donation will be going straight to their vet care.
