Help the Kendalls & Dolezals Rebuild Their Homes

On August 4th, a fire starting at the Bear river campground quickly became out of control in a torrent of flame and smoke. Thousands of acres burned quickly, in what is now known as the River Fire. Mark and Laura Kendall, Jerry and Margie Dolezal, fell victim to this fire. Fortunately, all made it out when the evacuation notice was given, but all that was left behind is now ash and the shadow of memories. For 40+ years the Dolezals and Kendalls maintained, improved, cultivated, and turned what was once scrub brush and a few spindly oak trees, into what many whom have visited called a Park. What was once a mainstay on garden tours, and a place for laughter, weddings, parties and joy, now lays nothing but cinders and scorched Earth.
