On Tuesday, October 5th at 5am the Hepburn family awoke to their home at 146 Eastfolly Rd, Debert in flames. Heather, Kenneth and their 3 children Allana 14, Emily 17 and Joshua 7 were narrowly able to escape by jumping from the second story window. Allana 14 years old was a hero ensuring she got her brother out of the burning house. Unfortunately she suffered spine fractures and broken ribs as did the other memebers of the family. Allana is in the care of the IWK. All pets including 6 puppies and Allana 's cherished cat parished in the fire. Allana is a student of Bridgeway Academy's Truro Campus, a day school for children with Leaning disabilities, and we would greatly appreciate any contribution to help with this families rebuilding of their lives.
