On July 12th, Riverview’s Jon Harquail was diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Jon will begin his treatment plan on Thursday, Aug 29th, in the form of an 8 hour session of chemotherapy.
Doctors are hopeful that the disease can be treated in a straight forward fashion, however, additional tests are being conducted to investigate whether the disease is spreading.
Chemotherapy will play a major role Jon’s treatment and at this point, doctors are still evaluating whether or not to subject him to a series of radiation treatments.
Jon will be off work for an indefinite amount of time while his wife Celine continues to work shift work as a nurse. With two high energy dogs, their busy 2 year old son Denver to care for, and a household to maintain, we would like to lighten to the load for the Harquails during this challenging time.
The future is unknown but the positive news is that the cancer has, so far, been isolated to Jon’s neck/tonsil area.
Jon & Celine remain positive and Jon is ready and eager to begin the fight of his life.
Any donations would go a long way in helping the Harquails live as normal a life as possible during this difficult chapter of their lives.
