Help The Grist Mill Recover

Hey,

We're The Grist Mill, a former Events Venue turned Queer bar. We've recently been shut down due to an overwhelming amount of homophobia from select people in our community. For every 10 people who don't appreciate us, however, we have 100 who do and who've encouraged us to move forward and keep fighting the good fight. Since we've been inoperable, our loss of income has been detrimental and we're asking for help to recover from this, so we can continue on as a safe space for the queer community. Since closing, we've received countless messages from queer folk who've just come out wondering when we'll be back up and running so they can have a safe space to go. These are the messages that drive us forward. While we work with lawyers to assure we can operate at full capacity again, we'd love to continue to provide a space for the queer community, host drag shows and brunches, and be open year round for those who need it. And as proud as we are, we realize it's time to ask for assistance from our supporters.
