Friends in the Palmerton Community, this is Gordon's family home...
Unfortunately, Last Night (2/19), while getting ready for bed, there was an electrical fire which fully engulfed the 2nd floor. Thankfully, they all got out safely (including the cat). Michelle, Brian, Joe & Sammy lost not only their home but also their belongings and family memories. We are raising funds to help with this trying time as they work with the insurance company to start rebuilding their lives.
For all who know Michelle, she will give you the shirt off her back without hesitation and never ask for anything in return. When asked if she or the family needed anything her answer was "We're Good". Because of this, I am setting up this page....
They will be in a hotel until they secure a longer term rental and eventually back to the house (9-12 month estimate). Due to this, the best way anyone can support this family right now is with fast food (anything) or grocery store gift cards (Country Harvest or Giant), Walmart, Target and Amazon gift cards. No amount/gift card is too small and will buy a lunch, dinner or clothing and needs for her, her husband and two kids Samantha (4th gr), Joey (9th gr).
If you don't want to donate via Go Fund Me...Money or Gift Cards can be dropped off at 121 Franklin Ave Palmerton (I have a locking mailbox and Ring camera). Checks can be made payable directly to Michelle. I will be getting them to her on a constant basis, starting tonight or tomorrow & Michelle will have full access to this account.
