Help The Glass Coffin ReOpen it’s Brick n Mortar

Donation protected

Hello Ghouls, Creeps & Undead Peeps

My Name is Joey Slayne. I am the owner of The Glass Coffin: Vampire Parlour which is a Vampire Themed Oddities & Curiosities Shop located in Austin, TX.

As some of you may know, last year in July of 2020 I was asked to vacate the premises in which The Glass Coffin was located because the landlord had sold the property, in addition to that, we were in the beginning stages of the pandemic - double whammy!  I was forced to close my brick and mortar shop and transitioned to online only. It has been over a year now, and I’m ready to begin work on opening a new and Vampire approved ‘Glass Coffin’.  I have recently found a place The Glass Coffin can call home again and I am so excited for what the future holds but I need your help to accomplish these goals.  I am here to humbly ask for your donations to help secure the space and begin rebuilding The Glass Coffin's brick and mortar shop.

Your donation would help to not only secure the space but also help with build-out, display cases, light fixtures, paint and the interior aesthetics. The new space is definitely older and certainly needs lots of work. It will be very ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ Inspired. There are 5 rooms total and here is a list of my plans:

1st room: The Vampire Parlour including Fireplace, Pump Organ and Display Cases for retail items, the work of local artisans and of course, space for photo ops!

2nd room: The Lost Boys Inspired Vampire/ Witch Apothecary and Occult room including herbs, incense, occult items, books and more photo ops.

3rd Room: Le Bat Boudoir, a lounge area for sipping wine & absinthe and watching horror classics. Includes a macabre art gallery and will possibly serve as a classroom/lecture room.

4th Room: The Seance Room for tarot and palm readings with haunted items displayed.

5th Room: The Checkout area will hold smaller retail items and displays with plenty of vampire movie memorabilia showcased.

I plan on making this space the most Fangtastic Vampire Oddities Shop you’ve ever seen and I can only do that with your help. So if you’re still reading this, thank you and please, if you’re able to make a donation it would absolutely mean the world to me as a small, local, minority owned business. Anything helps. Thank you to all of you that have supported my online shop and if all goes well, I hope to see you at the grand re- opening of The Glass Coffin on Oct, 31st 2021.

These are a few photos of the house. You can see it definitely needs lots of cosmetic work.

Here are a few photos that have inspired the decor and what I’d like it to look like.
