Help the Espinosa family get back on our feet

Donation protected
Hello friends & family.

We would first like to start off by saying thank you for taking the time to read this. Something like this is difficult and uncomfortable to ask and we are only doing so because it is our very last option for our situation.  The reason we opted to try this is because we understand that many people are struggling right now during this hard time and  we don't want to pressure anyone into helping us if they aren't financially able too.

This all started in January when I got extremely sick and ended up in the hospital for a few days.  After I was released I was sent to a specialist to look into why I'm so ill so often to try to get to the root of the issues.
In February I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy that showed some interesting results that defiantly explain whats going on with my body. Recently when they called with the biopsy results from the samples that they took, they put me on some new medications that will most likely take a few more weeks to kick in and give my body the full affect-- but hopefully should really make a difference in the quality of life I have.

During all of this my work suggested that I take a job protected leave of absence (the amount of work I was missing on and off due to how sick I constantly was going to put my job at risk).

Andrew has had back problems for years now and a visit in February to his doctor showed that it had gotten worse. His doctor recommended to get multiple epidural injections and radio frequency nerve burns. At this time his doctor put him on short term disability through our work also.

The company that was hired by our job to review workers eligibility to be put on short term disability has been a complete nightmare. They keep requesting document after document to many of Andrews doctors and they keep saying that they need more information. He has been working with them for over two months and they still haven't paid him at all or completed his case.

We are due to go back to work at the end of this month but just found out due to COVID-19 we will be getting less than 20 hours per week until the virus blows over.  (We were getting between 40-50 hours a week before I got sick in January. ) Due to the fact  we both have open claims with trying to get disability paid from work, it is against the rules to have any other employment elsewhere.

That sums up some of what we have been going though- so we have been trying to get our health in a better place for ourselves and of course for the kids.  During this time since we have not been bringing in money (typically are living from check to check) so thats what slowly brought us here  today.  Our main issue is that we still haven't paid rent for March or April.

Although in Arizona there is an order to hold evictions for 120 days that isn't really halting my landlord and his realtor. They are both calling and texting me throughout the day trying to get updates when nothing on my end has changed- I understand that they want the rent money but it feels like they harassing me and its now giving me full blown panic attacks. Today they told me that if I dont pay in the next 24 hours they are hiring an eviction attorney.

In hopes to finding some help I did search through a few places.  Salvation Army turned me away on 4/1 when they got funds in because they said since nobody can go through the courts and actually evict me (not sure if thats true). About 2 weeks ago I was told by the surprise CAP office that with the income and unexpected circumstances I provided I would qualify for rental assistance and that I just had to call and leave a voicemail at 8AM on 4/6.. So I did that and then I got a call back today from them saying the exact thing as Salvation Army. Also we reached out to our church that we are members of and they weren't able to assist (Not sure if its because we have received help in the past or im sure all of the churches have also impacted in donations during the virus shutdowns- also im sure they are very busy helping so many people right now.) Also we were expecting a large tax refund (enough to where we could have only lived off of that for two months) but the IRS is holding it because of an issue with another years return until its fixed.

So as awkward as this whole thing is Andrew and I are asking anyone who may be in a position that could help (even if its just  a little) our family would be forever great full to you.  We have been praying on this since we received that frightening text today and decided that this would be our last chance since they are moving forward with everything tomorrow afternoon.

Our monthly rent is $1460.69 and we owe two months now, we also  are in need of medications for both kids who are just now getting over bronchitis as well as the medicine for my endometriosis and Andrew's back procedures.

We will make it through this. Our families have been extremely emotional supportive and loving. Also with the strength and the trust we have in God and our faith, we know that this storm too shall pass.

If you can find it in your hearts to please help us get out of this hole, us and our children would greatly appreciate it.

If GoFundMe isn't your thing, we also have PayPal, and Zelle.

-with love from Angela, Andrew, Ellie and Ben.
