Help The Dalzell Family Fight Cancer
Donation protected
My wife Nadine has stage two grade three ductile cancer (breast). She has had a mastectomy, multiple lymph nodes removed, breast reconstruction, skin removal and then the breast implant removed and a port surgically placed for chemotherapy treatment over the last few months.
Nadine has a full year of chemotherapy and five years of estrogen therapy ahead. Due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, the doctors are not sure if they have removed all of the cancer. We are being referred to a specialized board that deals with these unique and complicated cases.
We have several financial challenges while Nadine goes through her chemotherapy treatment. Nadine will be off work for at least 16 months on a reduced wage that decreases as the year goes on. I am missing shifts at work to take Nadine to her surgeries, multiple doctor appointments, blood work appointments and chemotherapy sessions. MSP covers all the chemotherapy drugs, but we are responsible for any and all other drugs that are treating the symptoms of chemotherapy. Even with the reduced rates, we are looking at a huge financial burden for all of the treatments.
We are trying to maintain as normal of a life as possible for our 8 year old son, Grayson, during this time.
