A portable practice net is essential for proper practice, allowing batters to adjust to match-like conditions, and bowlers to bowl off their full run-up.
The club's existing roll-on practice net is in a state of disrepair and just isn't fit for purpose anymore - in fact, would now be dangerous to use.
We had hoped to use the proceeds of some early season social events to raise funds for the new batting cage, events which are now all but impossible thanks to the latest COVID-19 lockdown - but we'd still love to have a new practice net in place in place for the start of the 2021 season and wondered if you can help?
We understand that the pandemic has made things extremely tough for a lot of people, and would hate for any member or friend of Mistley Cricket Club to feel under pressure to contribute to this, or any, fundraiser.
