Help the Castellon Family as Gio Recovers
Donation protected
On Monday, July 25th, 2022, the Castellon family's world was turned upside down. That morning, Gio, husband and father of two, woke up experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath. Bianca, his wife and the mother of their boys, immediately took him to urgent care, where he was given three EKG tests. They all returned irregular results. After running more tests, they found he had a heart attack over the weekend. He was admitted to the hospital almost immediately. He spent a couple of days at Williamson County Medical Center, then was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center to undergo a double bypass. During that time, he contracted COVID. Fortunately, he was asymptomatic, but this delayed his surgery. While operating, doctors found that the damage to his heart was too great, and they did a quadruple bypass. His road to recovery has not been easy or smooth. He has been in a coma for the past several days, and last night he suffered a stroke and has no response on his left side.
We are all devastated for them and wish to help in any way we can. Gio is a strong, hard-working man, who will not be able to work for months when he gets out of the hospital. Unfortunately, this leaves Bianca as the sole breadwinner and caretaker of their two small boys; Gianni is 5, and Francesco is 1. Your words of encouragement and support would mean so much to her during this time. If you are able and would like to contribute financially, your donations will be used to cover everyday expenses, meals for the boys, and the inevitable medical expenses.
