Mia Joy Casselman born on 12/3/21 at 1923hrs weighing 1lb 11oz and 13 inches long. She was born at 25 weeks. It’s been a whirlwind of a day to say the least. However, she’s in great hands in the NICU. We are continuing to pray pray pray❤️ mommy and daddy love you baby girl.

December 5th 2021

It’s been a crazy few days. Thankful God has been watching over us as we continue to heal and Mia continues to grow through this process. Turns out the reason I went into preterm labor wasn’t because of the previous surgery, it was because I had a placental abruption which they found out during the c section. So miss Mia decided she needed to get out asap, putting me into labor. She’s a trooper, and the doctors and nurses keep calling her their little fighter because she’s so active with her hands and feet! Dante was able to change her diaper last night and we’ve been doing small amounts of placing our hands on her. We haven’t been able to hold her yet though due to her safety reasons. Doc says she’s doing great for her situation, and even though we’re not out of the risk zone yet to have hope! She even had to be put on the “big girl” ventilator because she was trying to breathe more than the other one allowed her too causing some distress. But once they figured that out she was thriving with her oxygen. A few more tests are to be done this afternoon and that’ll give us another update on how she’s doing and next plans or action that’s needed. Thank you all for your continued prayers and messages. We’ve got a long road ahead of us and can use all the prayers we can get! We are putting ALL of our faith in God’s plan! ❤️
