Help the Banks Family Raise Funds for Our Dad

Back in May of this year our dad Tony was admitted to hospital with paralysis in his hands and feet. His condition worsened on admission and further tests and an MRI scan were carried out. A diagnosis of Guillain-Barre Syndrome was given.
This shocked our family completely as we weren't familiar with the condition as it is so rare.
Guillain-Barre Syndrome is a very rare and serious condition that affects the nerves in the body. It can be caught by food poisoning or by a common cold or flu. We dont know to this day how our dad caught it and can never be known.
He had to undergo treatment to treat it which was very hard and he was admitted to intensive care as it affected his breathing, swallowing and speaking. Luckily after a gruelling 2 weeks of treatment he has recovered and now his nerves are growing back.
But our dad now has a long road ahead of rehabillitation which includes very intense physio. Were not sure how long it will take before my dad regains full feeling in his hands, legs and feet and when he will be able to walk or even stand again.
We as a family would like to raise as much as we can to help our dad in his rehabillitation. Our parents house will need to be adapted so he can eventually use a wheelchair around the home, but the most important thing will be a hoist and any other mobility aids that he will need to assist him at home along with the care he will need every day.
We would be highly grateful of any donation big or small to help our dad along the way.

We would also like to raise awareness of Guillain Barre Syndrome and like our family didn't know this existed or what it was, but how it can devastate you as a family and the not knowing of my dad not being able to walk again is very hard to take in as a family.
