Support Surgeon Serving Gaza City

Hello and Welcome! My name is Nicole L. Hawkins. I am just a regular person like you. I live in a small town in the USA. The stories coming out of Gaza have devastated me, and I needed to be part of any solution. Getting connected to families in Gaza, and working to get them aid is how I am metabolizing the ongoing crisis my government has created in Gaza. I hope you will consider taking ACTION to DONATE and HELP Dr. Abu Warda.

After Al Shifa was destroyed Dr. Abu Warda became 1 of 3 general surgeons left in all of North Gaza. Every donation not only supports his efforts to evacuate his family it allows the Gazans stranded in the North to have access to a desperately needed surgeon in an active war zone. Dr. Abu Warda is committed to stay in North Gaza, but needs your help to evacuate his surviving family so he can continue his work.

Our Campaign Objectives:

1. Evacuate the family south through Rafah to Egypt, and then on to university friends in Europe (without Dr. Abu Warda). $140,000

(14 adults, 5 children)

2. Support Dr. Abu Warda to survive in Gaza City and rebuild his livelihood so he can remain at Al Shifa Hospital as 1 of 5 remaining surgeons in all of N. Gaza. $50,000

(a sack of flour when available costs $850 in N. Gaza)

3. Support his wife and child to return to Gaza City, when/if that is possible one day $30,000

(return visas, travel, & survival until return)

Hello, my name is Dr, Abedelwahab . I’m a Palestinian Doctor from Gaza / specializing in general surgery . I’m sent to you because I really need your support to rebuild my home And bring back part of what my life was like before . My family and I are in dire need of your support, and time is of the essence.

i have decided to sent this message after great contemplation and hesitation. When I realised that there are no longer any options left for me to support my family here or to keep them safe. The situation in Gaza is very dear. I am currently one of some surgeons still working and helping our patients. I have been working 4 hospitals during war from hospital to hospital. I used to own a private clinic in my home, which included all my medical equipment . However, unfortunately I have lost everything including my family home , my clinic , my cars to this war, it got bombed and I remained empty handed. however at the destruction of my family home , my family had moved in with me to stay at Hospital. At the escalation of the bombing and displacement, there is now a scarcity of everything.

Of food, no clean water, lack of public bathrooms. As well as the spread of gastrointestinal diseases along with respiratory manifestations at the hospital.

Families have been ripped apart. Everybody around me is dying, and even my help is not enough. We are targeted everywhere. The safety of my family and children is not guaranteed. All supplies are dwindling. Gaza is dying and everybody who is here is just a walking dead man. Nobody sees my pain. I have to put up a smile to the world and to the children I treat. I seen all the atrocities this war has brought onto our people.

So many of my friends, colleagues and so so many of my patients have been lost to this violence.

Please, I ask you not to turn away from our urgent plea. Your support can make a world of difference in our lives. Let us unite, showing the world the power of compassion and solidarity in times of inhumanity. Together, we can rebuild, reclaim, and forge a future filled with hope and freedom.
