Help Save Teddy

Hello Everyone, thank you for taking the time out to visit this page. We started this GoFundMe for Teddy, a 4 month old mini poodle that happened to fall in our path. We first got Teddy back in July when we received a call from a lady who said she had a puppy for sale. Teddy has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives with his infatuation for the outdoors and loving cuddles. Getting Teddy, we noticed he had a funny walk, but was told he would grow out of it since he was the runt of the litter and was unable, at times, to feed from his mother which in turn caused him to lack certain nutrients. We didn’t think it was a big deal and we tried to give him the best food and all of our love which we hoped would help.
Recently, in the past couple of weeks we started noticing that Teddy was having these moments where he would stiffen up, fall over and begin flickering his eyes, it was really sad to see. Taking him to the vet we had to get blood work and medication in hopes to help with what seemed to be a seizure. Instead, it made him very lethargic and unlike his lively self. He didn’t even want to walk, let alone stand for anything; not even for his food. When eating, he lays on the floor next to his bowl and extends his neck just to be able to get a bite. To use the bathroom instead of his usual signal to us that it’s time to go, we would find him silently sitting in his urine. His favorite toy couldn’t even interest him.
Following this, we took him for his weekly visit to find out if the medication was helping to cure whatever was causing his sickness. We were told the drugs weren’t working and they weren’t equipped to care for him any further. Based on their prognosis, it was found that he has some type of Neurological disease/disorder. They urged us to see a neurologist and have an MRI performed followed by other tests and treatments. These are not cheap tests and we weren’t prepared for what is to come next. We want to give Teddy the best possible chance to live out his life happy and healthy. He has so much life to live and the will to fight. We want to have answers as to what is the problem and how it can be remedied. We do need help. We've already spent a lot of money on his exams and blood work as well as his medication. We just ask that if you can help us give Teddy a chance, any amount donated is deeply appreciated, we know these are uncertain times but anything is a big help, even just simply sharing his story.
