My name is Chrys (Chris)
 I have 4 amazing children- Tai'Korei 14 born on April 5th, Terrence Braelyn 9 born on April 9th, Treasure 6 born on April 8th and Ti'Erra 2 February 12.

In the beginning of February 2018... All 4 of our beautiful children were getting over colds. However, Terrence Braelyn our only son seem to be dragging and not his normal off the wall rambunctious self. Braelyn alerted us that he had a bump on the back of his neck and wanted Mommy to feel it also his voice had changed, he had this bright red beady rash all down his side. My Baby looked and sound like he had been thru the ringer.
And he wasn't eating anything when he's usually a little savage.
As I'm feeling on the back of his neck, Oh God!!! It is a pebble size lump but my 18 years of medical background kicks in I start feeling everywhere and all of his Lymph nodes are swollen, raging.

The next day I take Braelyn to the ER thinking he might have strep nothing major, right??
On February 5th 2018 our beautiful boy was suspected to have Leukemia. Huh!!! ER Doc say what!!! Is what Mommy is screaming on the inside, Mommy on outside is straight business. But, having to call his Dad who was at work was the hardest thing I've ever had the non pleasure of doing. Braelyn 1st Bone Marrow Biopsy happened 2 days later and it was confirmed that he has.. Mixed Phenotype Leukemia which is ALL & AML together. Not only is this happening Leukemia within itself but Braelyn's Leukemia is rare. Braelyn's specialists stated treatment is three (3) years.

Our lives changed overnight, Braelyn was immediately started on chemo with a port being placed in his chest.   Braelyn  doctor and hospital schedule is bananas, along with having to keep life normal for our girls. November 2018, Braelyn has been on vacation from chemo, I believe this is his third or fourth block of chemo. He has had more than 8 spinal taps with chemo being shot directly into his spinal cord and brain to protect them against the cancerous cells. His hair started to fall out so Superman Sr. (Dad) & Superman Jr. (Braelyn) went bald together. Myself- Chrys was two semesters away from completing my associates in nursing and heading to nursing school to pursue my bachelor's, Terrence Sr. a sou chef in a popular suburban restaurant ran and drop our careers and livelihoods to be with our son throughout every millisecond of his treatments and his new home life. Braelyn was immediately pulled out of school, no longer being able to play soccer in which his team along with his sister just won their 1st championship that past summer, basketball, and after convinces me to let him be a man and play football only to here that all that is over for now. His sisters quit all of their activities to be closer to their brother and we can no longer afford the extras. We as parents think that we can handle it or to proud to ask for help, well my fellow humans our family needs help.

Braelyn's next lumbar puncture with chemo and bone marrow biopsy being performed at the same time is scheduled for November 28th and he's frustrated that it has to happen so please keep us in your prayers that after no conclusive results from the last two biopsies that this one will give us great news. Because if it isn't then the discussion of bone marrow transplant will be back on the table. Which will be harder after all of us were tested and found not to be a match :-(

We are coming to you as a humbled God fearing struggling family, needing love support and donations to help us in this fight against Leukemia.  God Bless!
