Help sweet Harvey get back on his feet
Donation protected
Hi - my name is Renee Rennie and I have known Harvey Hendershot for almost 30 years. In 1994, Harvey became the security guard at our office building located at 36 E. Seventh St. in downtown Cincinnati. Over the years, Harvey saw many building tenants come and go - and he learned each and every name - hundreds of them I'm sure. He welcomed us with a warm greeting as we came through the lobby and hustled over to the elevators to hit the button for us. He was always eager to help out in anyway he could. Harvey became our friend.
In December, Harvey collapsed on his way to work early in the morning. He laid on the ground until a neighbor found him and called 911.
Harvey has been recuperating in the hospital and will soon move on to a rehabilitation facility to continue his recovery. He is so anxious to get back home to his apartment and back to work. That is his goal. He remains sweet and sharp-minded and so grateful for all the kind words, cards, phone calls and visits. Harvey is very concerned about how he will pay his monthly expenses and worries about future medical expenses. I assured Harvey we will be there for him to get him back on his feet. He is not alone. He was not so happy about getting his photo taken, but I told him he looked very debonaire.
Harvey's monthly expenses are approx. $1,000. We do not yet know what his medical expenses will be. Many have offered to help him out, so we are setting up this GoFundMe Account to make it easy to contribute. I know whatever small or large amount you can contribute will be beyond appreciated by Harvey.
Thank you for helping out this sweet, sweet man who has done so much for so many people. It is now time for us to help him get back on his feet. All past and present tenants of 36 E. Seventh St. are his family.
