Above are the faces of our small, family run business who are being impacted by the current health crisis.
We handcraft hard candy lollipops out of our brand new 3k sq ft space that also houses our very first storefront which we opened in November of last year.
During this time, 90% of our event orders have been cancelled, and our sales have dropped 80% in the last two weeks.
We have not stopped production, although sales are simply not coming in as events are not being planned and not being held.
We have also needed to close our store to protect both our team and our customers from the spread of Covid-19.
It is a trying time for Americans, especially small businesses like ours.
We are in the business of putting smiles on people's faces with our magical confections for all of life's celebrations. So now, what do we do when families and friends cannot gather to celebrate these special times?
We are not going to sugar coat this, what happens to our business in the next few weeks or even months can define our it long-term.
Our rent is nearly $4k, and our landlord is not cutting us a break.
We have not stopped paying our employees, as we know what a lay-off or salary withholding would mean to them.
We are doing our best to keep both our business and employees' financials afloat.
Pledges will be used to both pay our rent and keep our payroll going.
