Help Suzanne Ament Para-Dressage Athlete

Donation protected
I have been blind all my life, and have loved horses.  Five years ago I learned about para-dressage.  It is an incredible sport where rider and horse must collaborate to complete complicated patterns in the arena.  As a blind rider, I must use "living letters", people who voice the letters around the arena so I can independently make my patterns.  Thus far, I have attended clinics, taken dressage lessons, and been a demonstration rider for para dressage coaching.  Travel fees, lessons, and clinics do cost money, not to mention my long-term dream of obtaining my own dressage horse for competition.  My other goal is to educate everyone about the wonders of riding, especially other blind people.  My next adventure is to attend a symposium for para-dressage and blind riding.  This symposium will be held in July at the Carlisle Academy (Center of Excellence in Para-dressage) in Maine.  Ana O'Brien and I will share our successes and challenges from the schooling show May 22 to help improve strategies and methods for blind riders in and out of the ring.
