Dear Friends of Mirror Tea & Sake House,

It's hard to believe that it has already been five years since we embarked on this incredible journey together. As we reflect on our humble beginnings in the Gowanus district, we are filled with gratitude for all the experiences and challenges that have shaped us along the way.

When we first started this store, everything was unfamiliar territory for us. As musicians and artists, we ventured into the unknown, relying on our passion and determination to create something special. We crafted each item by hand, navigating through uncharted waters, and gradually earned recognition as a unique music venue in Gowanus, despite not having a store sign.

Just as we were celebrating the long-awaited achievement of obtaining our liquor license, the pandemic struck, altering the course of our plans. We swiftly adapted by introducing a takeout food menu and embracing outdoor business. Like many others in the food and beverage industry, we faced incredibly tough times. However, thanks to the unwavering support of Mirror's friends, we managed to weather the storm.

Nevertheless, the lingering effects of the pandemic and the subsequent inflation and economic recession have taken a toll on our business. The rising costs and financial challenges have made it increasingly difficult to sustain our operations at this location. It is with a sense of vulnerability that we reach out to you once again for support.

We humbly ask for your assistance in continuing our journey here next month. Your support, be it through crowdfunding or any other means, would make a world of difference for us. Together, we can overcome these hurdles and preserve the unique spirit and essence of Mirror Tea & Sake House.
