Help Support Young Dancers in Guatemala

FULL FUNDING THROUGH MARCH 2021:

NEED #1: FUNDING FOR NUTRITION - $7,201

During the COVID-19 world-wide pandemic, many families have lost significant amounts of income. Tourism is the main economic segment in Sololá, and without national and international travel, many parents have lost their jobs, or have reduced income. To help families avoid malnourishment, Transformacion Ballet has been providing food to many dance families. We need additional funding to continue providing food to families in the coming months. $53 USD is enough to provide food basics to one family for a month.

NEED #2: PROVIDING DANCE CLASSES & ACADEMICS - $12,760

Due to the current economic situation, we have provided free dance classes to our students for the past 4 months. As there is no sign of economic improvement, our goal is to have sufficient funding to continue to provide free classes to our students through to March 2021. As many schools have paused, we are also offering English classes to keep minds active! In order to provide free classes and keep Transformación Ballet running, we need funding to cover teaching hours, programming, dance wear, and associated fees (such as our Zoom subscription, and eventually costs of transportation to and from dance class).

NEED #3: STUDENT INTERNET ACCESS - $728

With our classes and academic support currently being held over Zoom and Youtube, our students need internet access, a luxury that is not financially attainable for most families at this time. We need your help to continue to provide internet access to our students for the months to come.
