Help Support The Life Of Chrissy Bentley

Donation protected

Hi, our names are Jessica and Misty. We're the younger & older sisters to Chrissy. The reason we're making this is to help support our loving friend, sister, mother, & daughter in her devastating battle to a cancer that can't be beat. Chrissy is 29 years old. She is a single hard working mother of three children: Mariah (11 yrs old), Kya (4 yrs old), & Carter (1 yr old). She is amazing mother & devoted her life to her children. She loved spending her days off as a family & outdoors with the kids. She worked part-time at Shoreline, enjoyed her job very much. She's a very loving and supporting person to her family & friends. Chrissy always played mother role to her three siblings (Misty, Jessica, & Jacob). Life was going good for once until her devastating tragedy struck. Unaware of the situations & tough roads ahead, Chrissy & her siblings were ready to put up a fight against cancer. In October (2018) Chrissy discovered a bump (mass) growing on her left jaw. After numerous tests, theories, doctors, treatments, surgeries, & hospital stays. Chrissy's final diagnosis of many is Stage 4 Nut Midline Carcinoma (NMC). It's a very rare, aggressive, fast growing cancer that can not be cured. Median life expectancy of 9.7 months. About a month & a half ago the doctor asked Chrissy how long does she think she have? She replied with 3 months. He told her she'd be lucky to make it 2 months. Chrissy resigns in hospice care in Laporte, Indiana at Fountainview Terrace. Created this page because we would & appreciate if you could help donate so we can prepare a proper memorial service & dinner for the family, children, & friends. Please help us share & support her memories, her life, & everyone else's life Chrissy made an impact on. In October Chrissy went to the ER, she was sent home & diagnosed with a dental abscess. Week or so went by & it got worse & grew bigger. She went back to the ER with worries she had cancer. She made sure this time they checked. She was diagnosed with possible salivary gland cancer & referred to IU Health Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tumor kept growing bigger making it difficult to breathe. Indianapolis removed the tumor (lymph nodes too) & sent it in for testing because they have never seen anything like this before in a healthy 29 year old woman. Test results finally come back & diagnosed with Stage 3 Sarcoma Cancer. But yet the medical team wanted to search further into her cancer because the way it would attack back after they treated it. It would come back 8 times harder. About 2-3 weeks went by & alot of tumors started appearing on her neck & jaw. Dr decided chemotherapy. Chrissy started treatment with Doxorubicin (Red Devil) one of the most powerful chemotherapy drugs. Chrissy did about 4 treatments (lost her long beautiful hair) & had to stop treatment due to heart complications. Couple weeks went by,tumors started growing inside and in her neckline such as the jugular vein, under her tongue base(loosing nerves) and esophogus. She started having complications breathing. Tried the radiation, she did 48 treatments in 24 days which was 2 times a day! The radiation had burned her most of he neck up,but it helped kill off he tumors. She was alright for about a month, then BOOM...cancer attacked aggressively and rapidly along her neckline and around it The doctors final diagnosis for chrissy is Stage 4 Nut Midline Carcinoma. She was out of options for about 3-4 weeks and she kept getting sick and sicker, harder for her to get up and out of bed. The doctor called, went and seen her and suggested immunotherapy.(when your immune system fights the cancer), unaware of the outcome,or how it would react, it was a type of treatment, a potential life-saving clinical trial.she felt she should try it,rather than do nothing at all. After the 1st treatment we noticed her face swelling bigger, leaving he eye sealed shut. She started having fevers and not wanting to get out of the bed. The 2nd treatment cancer started growing outside of her neck and all the way across it. She fell in the shower, which she broke her arm and they found another tumor which then the cancer has spread. We stopped all treatments and she is now in hospice care for the remaining of he time.
