Help Support the Imer Family

Donation protected
My fiancé Jarrod Imer is 31 years old. My name is Rachell. Jarrod and I have been together for over 13 years and have two sons together, Jarrod Jr. is 8, and Jaiden is 5.

Thursday, October 19th, I woke up hearing Jarrod gasp for air. First I panicked, called 911 and then immediately started CPR because he stopped breathing and had no pulse. The paramedics arrived very fast but had to recessitate him in our home and then again five more times in the ambulance. He was taken to a local hospital but then transferred right away to a major hospital in Nashville due to his brain damage.

Due to a recently new prescribed medicine, it slowed his breathing and caused him to go into respiratory and cardiac failure. Due to lack of oxygen to his brain, he is now on life support. The doctors say that his chances of survival are minimal. If he does wake up, Jarrod will have a very long road of recovery and he may have minimal mobility. Our lives will never be the same. Jarrod is our rock and main provider for our family. Everyone knows we’ve been thru more than a normal couple should ever go thru but this is just another obstacle that we will overcome. We’ve always said together we can conquer anything, and it won’t stop today! Unfortunately Without his income, it will be difficult to support my children and I during this horrific time. Stability for our children is something Jarrod and I feel very strongly about. So I plan on doing everything possible to keep some type of normal for the boys!

Jarrod has worked since he was 14 years old. He always took care of our family, made sure that we had everything we needed and wanted, even if he had to do without. He put me on a pedastool and treated me like a princess! I don’t know how our lives will be without him. To know that he may never come back as The Jarrod we all know and love just shatters my heart. Jarrod and I have wrapped our whole world around each other and our boys. We planned so many things together that we may never be able to do.

Sharing this tragic experience with all of you is very hard on me. However, for my children, I need to be stronger than ever and ask for help. I’m the type of person that never likes to ask because I’ve always had Jarrod and we were a team in everything, but I know this is something I have to do for my family.

Please help me make this transition for my children just a little less stressful in our time of need so we can focus on spending our days with Jarrod peacefully instead worrying how to provide for my family and pay for medical expenses. Anything you can donate is tremendously appreciated and you have no idea what it means to me. Thank you all so much for all of your well wishes and prayers! Keep the prayers coming!
