Hi friends,
First of all, I want to thank you all for your support during this time. This has been the most challenging obstacle that our business has ever encountered. Your encouragement and kindness has been truly overwhelming and much needed at such an uncertain time as this.
As small business owners, we have been faced with an impossible decision in such a brief period of time; we've barely had a chance to really let this sink in. We strongly feel that at this point it is our responsibility to make as much of an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 as much as we can. For us, unfortunately, that meant shutting our doors to the public for the foreseeable future. We were not confident that continuing to offer take out and delivery would even be safe enough for our staff and our guests, and frankly our sales had so dramatically decreased that we were losing money just by attempting to keep serving you. Because we cannot work from home like many other industries, we are faced with a huge problem right now with the unemployment of our entire staff, and lack of income in general. So, we are turning to you for your help. We want to make sure that our employees are taken care of, that they have everything they need to remain safe and healthy right now, and that we can all recover from this together. All donations will be split up evenly amongst our team. We will continue to sell gift certificates via our website, and hope to open up our online store to include merchandise as well, such as t-shirts and tote bags.
We want you to return to Gracie's and enjoy the exact same experience you always have, by your favorite server, with maybe even more of a loving, caring community vibe. Anything that you can donate will help us to rebound from this when it is time. We miss you all so much, but through all of this we will continue to look forward to opening our doors and welcoming all of you back here as soon as possible.
