Help support The Glenleighden School

Tom, Emily and Chelsea are allied health professionals working for Speech and Language Development Australia.

On 9-10 October 2021 we will be running the Sunshine Coast Marathon, and in the process, we are aiming to raise some money to support The Glenleighden School in Brisbane. Australia’s only specialist school for students with Language Disorder.

Developmental Language Disorder is a hidden disability that impacts 1 in 14 children, that is on average 2 in every classroom. This statistic does not include those children and young people who have Language Disorder coexisting with another biomedical condition such Hearing Impairment, Autism, Intellectual Disability and Down Syndrome.

Since 1976, Speech & Language Development Australia (SALDA) have committed to supporting all children and young people to find their voice through education, support and advocacy. We are passionate about ensuring extraordinary outcomes, beyond what anyone imagined possible, for children and young people with Language Disorder.

Your donation will help The Glenleighden School upgrade its play equipment, important for the physical and social development of its students.
