Help Support The Cocco Family

My name is Myranda Stewart. I am creating this fund on behalf of my brother-in-law Joe Cocco, my sister Hailey, and my nieces Gentry (8) and Blair (8 weeks). Friday, November 26th a horrible accident took place while Joe was putting Christmas lights on their home. He fell off the roof and was rushed to the emergency room where they soon found out he had broken his neck. He went into emergency surgery to prevent damage to his spinal cord. Unfortunately, during surgery they discovered he ruptured his C5 vertebrae, which resulted in a complete spinal cord injury. After undergoing multiple surgeries, it has been determined he is paralyzed from the neck down with little movement and sensation at his head and neck. He is currently in the ICU working towards getting off the ventilator and becoming stable enough to move to a different floor. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him with weeks in the hospital and many months in an inpatient rehabilitation center. Joe is a devoted and active father and has been the sole provider in their family as Hailey has been a stay-at-home mom to their two children.

 

These funds will be put towards medical bills, household bills, food, Christmas presents for their children, moving expenses, home adaptions suitable for wheelchair accessibility, and a wheelchair accessible van. Any donation large or small is incredibly appreciated and will impact the Cocco family tremendously. Even if you are unable to give, please share their story and lift them up in prayer.
