Help Support MB: A fundraiser for Marybeth Rorke

We want to thank everyone who has reached out with kind words, flowers, and cards for our mother.  As many of you know, she had an accident in June 2020 which damaged her spinal cord and has left her with very limited use of her arms and legs.  

Our mom has made significant strides since her accident, but she still has a long way to go.  She is still motivated, and we have hope that she will continue to progress and grow stronger.  

Although she is now in a nursing facility, we hope to move her into her own place in the near future.  The restrictions in the nursing home have only allowed her very few visitors, and she has not seen her grandchildren at all.  She has missed almost a whole year of pool parties with the kids, birthdays, and holidays.  

We all know how much our mother loves her family, so our goal is to get her somewhere she can see her family and friends, watch the Pats, and continue to work hard to get stronger.

Many people have asked how they can help...

Providing 24 hour homecare for her will cost up to $20,000 per month, which is not covered by insurance at this time.  We will also have to purchase some equipment to help her with her daily living, which will cost thousands more.  Medical bills continue to pile up as well.  Our goal is to raise enough money to help with these costs.  

Any donations are truly appreciated, and will be put towards her home care, equipment, and medical bills. 

Also, we hope to do another fundraiser in the spring for the Kentucky Derby, so stay tuned!
