Help support Liz, baby Mason, and Jose Sr.

Hi,

My name is Rose and I am asking everyone I love to help in any way and spread the word to help our family. On Wednesday, July 20th my father, sister Liz, her unborn baby, daughter Lexi and Liz's boyfriend Jon were traveling from Wisconsin to North Carolina for my oldest sister's wedding reception this weekend. 30 minutes away from arrival, they were involved in a severe car crash. Liz and my dad Jose Sr. were in the front seats. They suffered head trauma with multiple brain bleeds and fractures to the skull. Liz also has injuries in her spine, a lung contusion and is currently on life support. Baby Mason needed to be delivered at 24 weeks old via c-section, and is a fighter. Thankfully Liz has been able to move all her body parts when not sedated.

Beyond the head injuries, my father Jose Sr. also had a tear in his heart, many broken bones, a lacerated liver and spleen, and a shattered pelvis. He has survived the first surgery for his heart and will soon undergo the second for his pelvis when he is stronger. My father is also on life support at this time, but has been able to move all body parts and even follow some commands.

The family is currently in North Carolina and we are hoping to be here as long as we can to help them all fight for their lives. We know this is a marathon and not a sprint (as the doctors and nurses keep reminding us) and that every day will bring its ups and downs.

With all this, we cannot even imagine the financial impact of all the medical bills for treatment currently and the road to come with rehabilitation, bills to keep their homes and lives going while they are down here in NC receiving medical treatment and all the other costs. We would appreciate any help you all could provide, and know that every dollar will go directly to saving their lives.
