Help Support Jackson Keim
Jackson, the 11 year-old son of our friend and colleague, Josh Keim, has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin. Insulin is a necessary hormone, allowing sugar (glucose) to enter cells to produce energy.
Despite active research, type 1 diabetes still has no cure. Treatment focuses on managing blood sugar levels with insulin shots, diet and lifestyle to prevent complications.
This condition will affect Jackson for his whole life. By donating, you will help soften the significant financial impact that goes along with this diagnosis and help make this period of transition a little bit easier for him and his family.
Kevin Wehrenberg has pledged a matching donation of the total amount raised to JDRF, a nonprofit organization that funds type 1 diabetes research and advocates for regulation favorable to medical research.
Any amount you can give will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
