Hello!! This is Ger, our son, brother, friend, brother-in-law, he is 34 years old, he is super healthy and athletic. He was living abroad for 2 years, first in New Zealand and this last year in Australia.
Everything started there about 4 months ago with some stomach discomfort, and 1 week ago (Wednesday, February 17) led to a diagnosis of Stage 4 Cancer. Severe. It is not known exactly where the focus is, but at this point it does not matter, because he needs to start chemotherapy urgently. He has already spent $ 7,000 in Australia on medical studies and other $ 3,500 on the passage to return to Argentina. The savings are running out.
Everything is on track for him to arrive in Argentina on Thursday, February 25, meet his family who misses him very much, and start treatment as soon as possible.
He does not have medical insurance, nor any type of medical coverage here in Argentina, he is going to be treated in a public hospital, which despite everything are very good and the professionals are excellent. Some very expensive studies he will have to do privately, as well as buying the drug for chemotherapy to speed up the times. He and his mother, who will take care of him 100% of the time, will have to subsist without working during the entire treatment, no one knows how long it will last.

Hola!! El es Ger, nuestro hijo, hermano, amigo, cuñado, tiene 34 años, es super sano y deportista. Estuvo viviendo 2 años afuera, primero en Nueva Zelanda y este último año en Australia.
Todo arranco allá hace unos 4 meses con unas molestias estomacales, y derivó hace 1 semana (miércoles 17 de febrero) en un diagnóstico de Cáncer estadío 4. Grave. No se sabe bien exactamente donde está el foco, pero a esta altura no importa, porque necesita arrancar la quimioterapia de manera urgente. Ya gastó $7000 dólares en Australia en los estudios que se hizo y otros $3500 dolares en el pasaje para volver a Argentina. Los ahorros fruto de su trabajo se van terminando.
Ya está todo encaminado para que llegue a Argentina el jueves 25 de febrero, se reencuentre con su familia que lo extraña muchísimo, y arranque lo antes posible el tratamiento.
Él no tiene obra social, ni ningún tipo de cobertura médica, se va a atender en un hospital público de Argentina, que a pesar de todo son muy buenos y los profesionales excelentes. Algunos estudios, muy caros, los va a tener que realizar de manera privada, como también comprar la droga para la quimioterapia para acelerar los tiempos. El y su mama que lo va a cuidar el 100% del tiempo, van a tener que subsistir sin trabajar durante todo el tratamiento, que nadie sabe cuánto va a durar.
Todo, absolutamente todo, ayuda para que Ger pueda estar un poco más tranquilo sin tener que preocuparse además por la plata, que lamentablemente es importante en estos casos también.
