Help Support Family Under Tragic Circumstances

On Friday, 29 April, our beautiful cousin Kate started maternity leave. She posted on Facebook that she was ‘feeling hopeful’ - she and her partner Col were eagerly looking forward to the birth of their baby who was due in a few days time.
What should have been the start of one of the happiest chapters of their lives turned into tragedy when Col was reported missing at sea, off Townsville, after a fishing trip that night.
Despite an extensive rescue effort, Col has not been located.
Col and Kate’s beautiful baby was born 3rd May. This is not how it was supposed to be and our families are utterly heartbroken.
We have created this page for those of you who want to help but are unsure how best to do so. We would like to offer financial support to Kate so that she can take time to care for her baby and grieve without added financial stress.
Col would’ve wanted nothing more than to ensure that Kate was looked after at this vulnerable time.
During this sensitive time, I will be withdrawing these beautiful donations and providing these to Kate via bank transfer to streamline the process.
