Help Support Edwin's Funeral Fund
Donation protected
On August 9, 2018, Edwin Medina's journey here on earth ended. Eddie fought an extremely difficult battle to survive.
While in his hospital bed, Eddie said he loved life and wanted to live. His family tried everything they could to honor his wish to live.
During his journey he underwent several surgeries including 2 open heart surgeries, 16 stents, 3 valve replacements, and had a pacemaker put in. His last admittance into the hospital was one filled with long-suffering that lasted for 3 months.
Eddie had a strong will to live and in the last phase of his life he was flown to Duke University Hospital in North Carolina where he spent nearly 3 weeks in search of a heart transplant. Sadly, there were many complications and the surgery was just not possible.
His transition was peaceful surrounded by the love of his family and his wife of 30 years Anais Medina. This next chapter of Anais's life without her husband will be a difficult road. There are many preparations and costs that Anais will have to endure on her own- including bringing Eddie back home to Florida where he will be laid to rest.
We are asking that in lieu of sending flowers, you consider donating towards the costs to cover funeral, transportation cost, and expenses.
Thank you to all those that have shown your love, support, and offered prayers during this time.
We ask that you continue to pray for the family.
