Help Support Chelsey Hobbs

Donation protected
Chelsey has spent much of her adolescent and adult life battling and overcoming health issues. However, if you know Chelsey, you would have no suspicion of the daily struggles she goes through. Her spirit and love are contagious, and her light shines brightly onto everyone she meets. Chelsey began experiencing seizures at the age of 16 which is a disorder she continues to fight through. Through 2019 and 2020 after giving birth to her daughter in 2017 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a successful double mastectomy. During this time in her life, she was also diagnosed with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Raynaud's Syndrome. Each are autoimmune diseases that severely impact her day-to-day life and overall mental and physical well-being. This past fall she was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome, which puts her at high-risk for blood clotting. She now is permanently on a blood thinner which also has restricted her ability to participate in many physical activities she once loved. Chelsey is an incredible hairstylist that travels to teach her techniques and promote the products she loves to use. She has hundreds of current and past clients who love her company and would speak nothing but kind words about her.
This past weekend on 04/30/2022 she visited the ER with severe kidney pain and feared it may be related to her Lupus symptoms. While at the ER she presented sudden paralysis of the left side of her body and loss of speech. She was immediately air lifted to a stroke center to further evaluate her symptoms. As of now she has regained some levels of speech, but continues to have no use of her left arm and leg besides slight twitching movements. She will now begin the rehabilitation process to regain her motor skills. Chelsey is very unsure of what her future will hold in her personal and professional life, but she is maintaining high spirits and is surrounded by amazing love and support. Chelsey has always been an advocate for helping others, And I am creating this GoFundMe to bring to her the same light she has brought upon so many others.
Chelsey is not only an amazing person, but she is an amazing wife and mother to an amazing 4 year old girl. Chelsey’s career is necessary to support her family, and given the current circumstances, she will not be able to work for a minimum of 3 months while she undergoes rehabilitation. We hope that post rehabilitation, she will be back behind the chair and teaching her techniques across the country, but only time will tell. Her husband will be taking time off of work throughout her recovery to support her and their daughter during this emotionally and physically taxing time.
Funding for Chelsey will allow her family to pay for the medical expenses that will accumulate during this time of tragedy and allow her to continue to support her family and daughter. Chelsey and her husband have expressed to me that any additional funds generated will be donated to a foundation that supports Lupus research.
Through love, support and a positive attitude, Chelsey will get through this. Please keep Chelsey in your thoughts and prayers.
