Help Support Carley, Connor & Mark

My wife (Krista), and I (Ed), have created this page to reach out to our family, friends and possibly beyond, asking for your help in supporting a dear friend of ours.

Carley Dubois recently lost her best friend and the father to her two young boys (Connor 9, and Mark 4). Justin Bigras, suddenly passed away on July 19, 2018 at the young age of 35. Making the situation worse, Connor lost his dad two days before his 9th birthday. We have done our best to ensure that Connor`s birthday was the best it could be, under these circumstances.

Carley was and now ultimately is  the only breadwinner for her family. She works extremely hard to provide for her family, as she always has. Justin normally watched the children or the kids would be with a friend while their mom worked.  The family didn't have any life insurance, so there is nothing to fall back on at the moment to help financially. Carley is now unable to go to work to support her family like she used too. She is unable to bring both children while she works. With no one to watch the children while she works, the children need her to be there to care for them.  

To add to things, Carley has been patiently waiting , going through the process to have Mark diagnosed - as it is believed he is autistic. She has been struggling to find anyway to speed up the process - even looking at paying for some of the appointments privately , but the cost (about $3000), so far, has been unattainable. Early treatment is said to be key, but no funding for treatment can be granted until he is diagnosed. This is making it very hard on Carley to get help and support for Mark. He is set to start school in another year and she wants to do everything to help him be as ready as he can.

Carley has always been a true friend that we have been able to count on. At the drop of a hat, she has been there to help in times of need. We are hoping in some way, we can help relieve some of the burden for the next while.   We want to allow Carley to have the piece of mind to know that thinks will be ok... rent, hydro, phone, car insurance and grocery bills will be taken care for right now. 

If we could raise enough to have Mark privately diagnosed that would be amazing! But our main concern at the moment, is to make sure this family is able get by for the next little while. Give them time to figure things out and process everything that has happened.  All money raised would be used toward helping with monthly expenses, and things for the children (back to school is just around the corner).

Ultimately, our wish is for Carley to have the ability to be there to care for her boys. Giving her this ability to be there with the little ones until life settles down.  We all know that these boys need their mommy now more than ever.
