Help support Alyissia’s eye surgery.

My name is Alyissia C. I am not a person to ask for help, but people I need your help! I am a mother who works extremely hard and attends online college. Unfortunately, my private insurance doesn't cover the service that I need, and I must pay out-of-pocket fees. Please, let me explain my story. I wear eyeglasses daily. One day, I notice that my vision was blurry in both eyes more in my left eye. I would rub my eyes and blink my eyes a few times in hopes that it would alleviate my issues. However, to no avail, it didn't help. Nevertheless, I continue to press through with my daily duties for my family. Honestly, I procrastinated for days, weeks, and even a few months to go to the eye doctor. I was scared and yet concerned about the unknown of what could be wrong with my eyes. I finally called and scheduled an eye exam appointment. I cry as I write this. I was told that I have a rare eye disease called Keratoconus and that I need to seek an eye specialist to have cornea surgery in both eyes. Both eyes!! I can only do one eye at a time, and I would need to take time off from work and care for my children while recovering. This vision impairment dilemma is fixable for a price that I cannot afford. I am hoping that anyone can help be a financial blessing and donate towards my surgery. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Most importantly, being an online college student is becoming a huge challenge as I strive to maintain my status in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
