Help Storm fight cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name's Danielle, and for my 14th Birthday my dad bought me a puppy, Storm, the best gift I could have ever imagined. She has been my best friend and companion ever since.
Storm is an Alaskan Malamute and is now 6, she still has a lot of years ahead of her.
Around the 25th July I noticed Storm had a lump on her head by her right eye (very hard to tell with her hair). We took her to the vet (3rd August) and they thought it might just be trauma from a minor injury. However, it started getting bigger so we took her back (19th Sept) and they gave us some anti-inflammatory and antibiotics, but sadly the lump didn't go down. We were worried that it might be nasal cancer so we took her back to the vet (27th sept) for a biopsy and blood tests.
Unfortunately, it isn't good news. Today (6th October) Storm has been diagnosed with sarcoma.
My current vet can't surgically remove the tumor, so she's being referred to a specialist (oncologist).
Consultations, tests and treatment are extremely expensive, and we have been told to expect fees of over £4000.
I'm currently a university student looking for a part time job, but as you can imagine I'm unable to finance all the expenses.
We would really appreciate anyone willing to make a donation, however small it may be!
Thank you so much for your contribution, it means a lot and will go a long way!
