Help Stop Violence against Asians

My heart is broken by the senseless and horrific murder of Christina Yuna Lee. Before Christina Yuna Lee, Michelle Go was pushed into an oncoming train, and there was Yao Pan Man, beaten for NO reason, and others that are unreported.

 

Did you know that violence against Asians has increased to over 360%?

 

Let me repeat that number again – 360%. That's over 360% increase in violence against Asians. Do we wait until it’s 1000% or 2000% before anyone will hear us?

 

Let us not mourn another death, another loss of a brilliant young professional, another victim of our increasingly anti-Asian, anti-immigrant society. Let’s take action and take part in Change.

Here is how AAPI for Change is making a difference:

We already organized a Tri-State rally on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at City Halls in Philadelphia, PA, Trenton, NJ and New York, NY. 

I have already led discussions with schools in local communities with our presentation "Spreading Kindness: Being an Ally for Change." Our conversation helps Middle School and High School students find a cause that they are passionate about and learn about ways they can help facilitate change in their school or community.

Your donations will help fund our effort to stop Violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. It will pay for visits to high Schools to talk about how to be an AAPI ally, printing more signs, paying our staff, maintaining our website; in sum, your donations will help with our advocacy and bring awareness and stop Asian hate.

 

The mission of AAPI for Change is to educate the public, raise awareness, and change systemic race issues and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. We are committed to bringing different racial and ethnic backgrounds together to stand firmly against all forms of hatred and discrimination through civic engagement and open discussions. AAPI for Change is organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
